 Diana
After graduating high school Diana earned her associate degree in Fashion Marketing and began a career in retail. She has been in retail management for 13 years and has worked for Gap Inc for the last ten years. It was at Gap Inc., where Diana met Jonnaysa, ten years ago. Currently, she is the store manager at Banana Republic. While she enjoys the organization and planning involved with retail, she also wanted something more.
In the Fall of 2000, Diana wanted to have the perfect beach wedding. She then became obsessed with learning everything she could to ensure that she would have a successful wedding! This led her to take courses and complete The Bridal Consultant Program with the Professional Career and Development Institute. After her wedding she helped with four more weddings before her retail career took a turn leading to a more demanding schedule and a longer commute to work.
In July 2005 she had her son Jackson. This changed her outlook on life. She greatly wanted to balance her career and personal life. Diana and Jonnaysa kept in touch over the years and learned about their common interests in the wedding industry. It is then that Jonnaysa reignited the spark in Diana and convinced her to assist with weddings during 2008. At that time, Diana led a very detailed wedding reception set up, on the hottest day of the year at a venue that did not have AC. She managed and directed everything very well. In 2009 Diana coordinated her own wedding and received wonderful feedback from the bride. In October, Diana planned a weekend of events and activities for an out of state wedding party. She provided an outline for the bridal party and out of town guests suggesting local tourist attractions and eateries for people of all ages. She also assisted on four weddings during the year.
Diana is a romantic at heart! She loves all that goes into a wedding and enjoys putting ideas and thoughts together to learn all about the couple. It is very important that the guests can see a little part of the couple in every aspect of their big day. It takes a lot of work and energy to make someone's special day a success and to her it is well worth it!
