Weddings: Post 2 of 3 Catherine and Franklin

As some of you may know, Catherine became a local celebrity in Lancaster as she was supposed to be the first bride to hold her wedding reception at the new Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square .  Unfortunately, she got that dreaded phone call, that no bride wants to get.  Six weeks before her wedding she was told that they would not be opening in time and she could not have her reception there.  The Marriott did take care of her, and had made reservations to host her reception at the beautiful Lancaster Country Club .  This was one of a few things they did to make this most difficult time a bit easier.

Planned Perfection started this wonderful event on Friday night for a rehearsal at the First United Methodist Church on Duke and Walnut Street Downtown Lancaster.  After working out all the details, Diana and I left feeling very confident that Catherine and Franklin would have a most beautiful day :)

Wedding Day came and we arrived at the church which was already decorated by Kelly Steadman and her team at All Things Beautiful .  They also did a phenomenal job at decorating the reception venue!  This was a beauty for sure!  There ceremony was so heartfelt and so true to Catherine and Franklin, he is quite the comical one :)   They had a gospel choir from Brightside Baptist Church singing wonderful selections during the prelude and during the ceremony.  So joyus!

After the ceremony we moved everyone outside for yet again, another bubble exit as they drove off in their very cool antique car that Catherine’s Dad had provided for them.

There were some beautiful moments during the reception as well.  The Father of the Bride had arranged for us to play a surprise slide show for the bride during their dance.  It was also the Mother of the Bride’s Birthday and the bride presented her mother with a personal birthday cake, provided by the fantastic Bella Manse , and all the guests were signing Happy Birthday to her.  So special.  Here are some shots I was able to get here and there.

I can’t wait to see the images that Epic Photography has captured from this event.

Weddings: Post 1 of 3 Mindy and Ryan

Hi all, I don’t even know where to start. This weekend Planned Perfection had 3 weddings. I’ll start this post with Friday’s Wedding, Mindy and Ryan. We started this fun filled weekend on Thursday evening with rehearsal at the Willow Valley Chapel.

On Friday afternoon Kelly and I arrived to do some pre-ceremony set up. We talked things over with the sound tech, D.J. who was great, confirmed the flow with Rev. JoAnn Glasse who is ALWAYS a pleasure to work with, and got to chat with our good friend Brad Carlson who also does a fantastic job at videography. We awaited the bridal party’s arrival and got right down to business.

The ceremony was beautiful and went very smoothly. It was followed by a bubble exit (which is one of three for the weekend!) and then off the guests went to The Eden Resort for the reception. At this point in time I had to leave for a rehearsal for Saturday’s Wedding and Kelly took things over.

Kelly has some good shots of the yummy cake Bella Manse provided and some reception details that included Monkeys :) I will provide when I receive them.

This was the first wedding I got to work with Jamie and Andrew from Epic Photography . Not only were they so friendly, but they were actually life savors. Mindy and Ryan came to me a few weeks before there wedding saying that they didn’t think their photographer would show and were wondering if there was anyone I could recommend that might be available and within their budget only weeks before there event. I contacted Jamie and she was available!!! Wahoo! I will surely let you know when some pro pics are available for your viewing pleasure. Not only was this the first time that I got to work with them, but I was lucky enough to be working with them the very next day for Saturday’s wedding .

Thank you to all Vendors who made this wedding a success!
