The other day I received some images from Jeff Rose of Norman Rose Studio . I had the pleasure of working with him on March 21, 2009 for Susie and Cody’s wedding. Just look how stunning this bride and groom are. Thanks Jeff for the images, can’t wait to see the rest.

On Monday a bunch of female wedding professionals headed to the big apple for a luxury wedding show, The Wedding Salon. It was definitely a fun filled inspirational trip and a great time with a bunch of fantastic gals. Meeting Sylvia Weinstock was most definitely the highlight.
I do have to say, a small part of me was a bit dissapointed in the show. I guess I went into this with very high expectations, especially since I am eyeballs deep in planning a bridal event for Lancaster, and the show just left me feeling like I wanted more. The tables that were on display were beautiful, big and lavish and food and drink were delish but it was just missing an intimacy that I crave at bridal events. To meet and see the professionals up close and personal and not be bombarded by 500 other people at the same time. The booths were soo small and all the vendors were cramed into a small area. The programs didn’t list what time the fashion show was and that really bothered me.
Oh and of course Colin Cowie was held up on his jet! We left not knowing if he even ever made it. haha, that is ok..we’ll forgive him.
Here are a few pictures I took from the show. My pictures are nothing compared to the wonderful shots Leslie from Leslie Gilbert Photography and Jill Fanning from The Hamilton Ballroom . Make sure to check out their blogs.

As of today we learned the Marriott and Convention Center will not be ready in time for the planned April 26, 2009 Best of Weddings. We are in the process of working with all of the vendors to reschedule this highly anticipated show. Please keep checking back for the new date. If you have registered for this show already, you should have received an email from me.
Sorry for any inconvenience and please keep checking back for the new date.

What a way to kick off the wedding season. Susie and Cody’s wedding was perfect! The sun was out, the ceremony was beautiful and the reception was so much fun. I had so much fun working with them and their families. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day.

There’s just something about the first wedding of the season! To kick it off Susie and Cody’s rehearsal was tonight at the Rotunda at Lauxmont Farms. Susie came to me awhile back in desperate need of a ceremony site. She had found out last minute that all roads would be closed in and around the Capitol Building in Harrisburg due to a St. Patty’s Day parade. After doing some research to see who was available for her guest amount and with the type of location that she had in mind, Lauxmont came to the rescue.
It felt so amazing to be back in action. Kelly and Diana were in attendence tonight as well. Stay tuned for wedding details next week.

Today I was able to enjoy the annual linen seminar put on by the fabulous Special Occasions and Queen Street Linens . They do such a fabulous job and are so inspiring. Claudia, Cynthia and Suzette are brilliant when it comes to dressing a table for a party!
Below are some images from the event. I took some pictures with my own camera but they turned out so bad. Then I visited Hamilton Ballroom’s Blog and Jill Fanning had some fantastic pictures up! Wither her permission, I posted some below. Please check out their fabulous blog with more pictures from this great event. Also, I must say, the Turkish Sheer that Special O has for rental would be so fitting for Hamilton Ballroom !

Ruffles are such an elegant way to add movement to your table! This wouldn’t be something you would do on every table, however, just on the special ones. Possibly your cake table, your guest book table, etc.

Beautiful Cake display and of course fabulous cake provided by The House of Clarendon.

The lovely Turkish Sheer set for Hollywood Glamor. I love the look of the fabulous chair to your right. Again this would be very costly to do to every chair, but why not add it to your head table for the bride and grooms chair.

I have to say the above was my most favorite new item introduced at today’s seminar. I just love it! This beautiful chair cover can go over just about any runner! So you can really change up the colors.

The other day we had a brainstorming session at The JDK Group for our Best of Weddings Show . I thought it would only be fitting that I share some fun shots of their location and what they have to offer. David Everett is the most fantastic guy you will ever meet and is so genuine. I met him for the first time in 2007 and since then have never forgotten who he is. If he is planning and designing your wedding you are in for a treat. You will not want to miss what they will be featuring in the BOW Show!
