This past week was filled with much anticipation for Alison and Craig’s wedding. We started with rehearsal #1 on Tuesday with just Alison and Craig, her parents and the pastor. This was held at Grace Lutheran located in West Minster, MD. Pastor Kevin was so sweet and so awesome to work with. Not to mention his church just has some recent remodels which he was very excited about. The brand new carpet was perfect for Alison’s fall themed wedding.

On Friday Diana and I drove to Gettysburg to go over everything with the bridal party and remaining family who was not at Tuesday’s rehearsal. Everything went quite smoothly and quickly.
Although it was raining on their wedding day, that didn’t stop Alison from looking beautiful in her Melissa Sweet gown and surely the weather did not put a damper on things. Guests were shuttled back and forth to the ceremony and reception site via buses the bride and groom reserved.
We were a little hesitant about working with the Gettysburg Hotel as we got a phone call the week of the wedding from their Sales Manager stating that "she was unaware that we would be in attendance at the reception and just didn’t understand what our role would be?" Ughh so as I sit on the phone and go over what our role would be, and what the bride and groom were paying us to do…she still didn’t get it and said that they have someone to attend to the bride and groom once they get their. Right….like I really believed they would bustle a gown (the two times it fell out) and that they would make a run outside of the hotel property if one was needed. The list could go on and on.
Luckily when we arrived we were greeted by the very funny and very pleasant Terry, who was their Maitre D. She was fantastic and was a actually pleased that we were there…"as bustles weren’t her thing!" Anyway, the reception was beautiful and I almost lost it when Alison danced with her dad! They had a beautiful choreographed dance to Heartlands, I Loved Her First, a very popular father/daughter selection.
The newly Kristen McKenna just sent me some images from her wedding of October 11, 2008. Of course I had to show off her lovely day with all of you! Enjoy.
All Things Beautiful created these gorgeous red bouquets.
Beautiful bride getting ready.

I love how the red pops against the girls dresses.
Below are images that Kelly was able to capture while at Lorraine and Gabriell’s wedding. I forgot my camera so I’m glad she was able to get some images for the blog. The reception site set up was done by Perfect Settings Catering and they did a phenomenal job. It was such a pleasure to work with them and I look forward to the opportunity in the future.
Amanda was a fantastic bagpiper. This was played for the prelude and recesssional music. If your are in need of a great babpiper contact me for her information.

We are signaling that it is time for the groom to turn around.

Each table was named after wine. Yumm look at that salad.
The other day I received some professional images from Allan Holm . I’d like to pass along some of them to you! Hillary and Neil now live in Michigan and I wish them only the best. Can’t wait for a visit at PSC when they are home!
Congratulations to Lorraine and Gabe. Their wedding ceremony and reception was all held at Twin Brook Winery in Gap, Pa.
We started the day at The Eden Resort to pick up some items for the wedding. The girls were all staying in a fabulous suite. Traffic was absolutely horrendous! By the time I finally got to the site it was time to go to work. Turns out the ceremony site was set up all wrong. This entailed moving 185 chairs and an arch made out of branches. After we rearranged everything it was exactly the way the bride wanted and looked fabulous.
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Amy and Tony Hoffer of Hoffer Photography . They were so sweet and already, the day after the wedding they have some sneak peak images up on their blog. I have posted a few below. Check out their blog for more images!

Gorgeous fall fall flowers handmade by the bride and her attendants.
15 min. till start time and we still don’t have a groom and 7 groomsmen. This was all because their limo broke down. So we were 30 min. behind schedule. As soon as the guys got their, we pinned on their boutts and sent them down the aisle!

The staff at the winery was great. This gator came in very handy when it was time to haul all of the cermony chairs up to the reception, as well as all the mums from the ceremony site, oh and not to mention all of the guys!!

After the ceremony and cocktail hour we moved things into the greenhouse for the reception. The food was FABULOUS and Perfect Settings Catering was absolutely wonderful to work with. Especially with all the set backs we ran into. Debbie and her staff were always smiling and it was such a pleasure to meet them. Staye tuned for another post with detail shots of their displays and set ups!
We kicked off the reception with the couple’s first dance.
This afternoon I traveled to Twin Brook Winery in Gap , Pa for Lorraine and
Gabe’s rehearsal. Stay tuned for their wedding details this Saturday.
I look forward to working with some new vendors. Also, I just love the
song that Lorraine has picked out for their processional! Jack
Johnson’s version of "Imagine." See below.
Today I decided to carve out some "me" time and during this time I made Pumpkin Cream Pies. I decided to document the process for all you blog followers. If found this delish recipe on Blue Orchid Designs Wedding Blog . I am a big fan of Liene’s The Smart Planner Blog as well.

Just got done mixing the batter and scooping some of it into a zip lock bag.
On Sunday I met up with Alison and Craig for their reception walk through. They are getting married in Westminster, MD with a reception to follow at the Gettysburg Hotel. This was my first time at this hotel, and actually believe it or not, my first time in Gettysburg. The atrium where they will be having their cocktail hour has a cute little tavern that would be good for pictures. The ballroom has beautiful 28 foot high ceilings and a vault which is original to the building. It was built in 1814 when it then was the Gettysburg Nation Bank.
Stay tuned for their wedding at the end of the month!

After meeting with Alison and Craig my husband, Riley and I decided to explore the town a bit. They got a head start during my meeting. Gettysburg is such a beautiful town and landmark. Below are some snap shots from our visit.
