Just 2 reasons…

to name a few, why it is important to hire a professional wedding coordinator.

I just received a review on Wedding Wire and I wanted to share it with you all.

It proves to show just what type of things can happen on your wedding day and just how a wedding coordinator can handle them, without you ever knowing!!!

The second I met with Jonnaysa I instantly knew she would be perfect to coordinate our rehearsal and wedding day. We had everything planned, but we needed someone to make sure everything went as planned, and she did that and more! For instance, we were at a location where you could decorate and set up yourself, so we had friends set up the centerpieces, programs, decorations and placecards. Jonnaysa immediately went to work helping them out. A few hitches occured but Jonnaysa took care of them, so I didn’t even know until I got back from my honeymoon! For instance, the groundskeepers watered the hanging baskets, which the site placed over the placecard table, and it washed away the names on the place cards. Jonnaysa made sure that everyone knew where to sit. Also, our florist was supposed to deliver 16 fully opened star gazer lillies for our centerpieces. Half of the flowers were not opened, so Jonnaysa pulled out the contract (which she asked for copies of to have on hand the day of) and by the time I sat down to dinner, each centerpiece had a fully opened flower.

We would highly recommend Jonnaysa to anyone looking for “Planned Perfection”.

Two Weddings Yesterday

Thursday

Wow, things have been quite crazy around here. Starting this Thursday, my husband and I decided to take a quick break and head to Camden, NJ to see Pearl Jam. His most favorite band! It was an awesome show. We didn’t get home until 2:00 a.m…boy was I exhausted.

Friday

Planned Perfection had two rehearsals. One at Nevin Chapel on F&M’s campus for Patrick and Lauren’s wedding and the other at the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg for Adrian and Jason’s Wedding.

Megan, from Envisioned Events, came on board to help out with Patrick and Lauren’s wedding. I’ve know Megan for quite some time now and she is just wonderful. She has assisted me with events in the past and now having her own business, I knew she would be the perfect match to take on an event for us here at Planned Perfection.

Ok, so side note….after my rehearsal in Harrisburg on Friday, I spent the rest of my evening into the wee early morning hours getting sick! So with no sleep and still feeling under the weather, our day of weddings begins.

Lauren and Patrick

I arrive at Lauren and Patrick’s ceremony location at 8:00 a.m. to pick up reception items that needed to be brought to the lovely Cameron Estate Inn where they were holding their Brunch Reception. I was able to say hello to my good friend Kerri, from Wake Photography before I had to leave. She was their awesome photographer for the day. I can’t wait to see the images she has captured.

With Megan having everything under control, I was able say hi to the Groom and Family and then be on my way. The Bride was not there yet before I had to leave :(

I then arrived at their reception site to place gorgeous centerpieces done by The Boutonniere Shop on the tables as well as, place cards, table cards, menu cards, favors and some other reception decor. Rhonda was so wonderful and their staff was also busy preparing for the event, which was to take place at 11:30.

I just wanted to say thank you so much to Patrick and Lauren for allowing me to be part of your wonderful wedding. I can not wait to see the images for your wedding and hear all about your FABULOUS celebrity style honeymoon!!!! Thank you to all the awesome wedding professionals who made this event happen.

Adrian and Jason

2:00 p.m. rolls around and now it is time to head to The National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg for Adrian and Jason’s ceremony and reception. Kelly was on board again to help assist this wedding. I’ll tell you what, I don’t know what I would do without this girl!! She is the best.

As we begin to do our set up, the caterers come over to point out the the floral centerpieces were not put together and were just dropped off. I’m looking at these thinking…hmmm where are the lemons, there are supposed to be lemons to go in the vases. As I reach to pull out a copy of their floral contract, to confirm this thought, I realize I can’t find it….oh no…I forgot this folder back in Lancaster, which has copies of all of the vendor contracts and the cd’s for the band to play during their breaks! Oh my…this is where things get a bit crazy!

I leave Kelly in charge of getting the ceremony site ready to go, and placing beautiful daisy charms on 80+ champagne flutes while I head 30 min. back to Lancaster to retrieve this folder. While on 283 my gas light goes off! Ahhh…I pull into a gas station to quick fill up only to realize I left my entire bag and wallet with Kelly!!! (This means, no license, no money, no nothing!) Now everything was in god’s hands. I retrieved the folder and relied on prayers to make it back to Harrisburg with no gas! I am so thankful as I arrive back at the reception venue, in time, to graciously greet the wedding party and family! All while keeping a calm cool collected smile on my face :) Oh and during this time I was on the phone with the florist and the bride had made a last minute change to nix the lemons…however, she did not update that change with me!! That’s ok, just as long as everything was the way she wanted it, in the end, that is all that really matters.

Adrian and Jason’s intimate ceremony was beautiful. At the conclusion of th ceremony,  the guests made their way up the staircase for a personal heartfelt toast given by Adrian and Jason, it was awesome!

On to the reception. The food was fabulous by Classic Cuisine!! Kara was so gracious and so wonderful to work with. Thanks for all of your hard work. Your staff was so friendly and on top of things!

When it was time to start the party, we were amazed at how quickly all of Adrian and Jason’s guests jumped up to the dance floor.  The Headliners were an awesome band and were also so great to work with.

Right after the bride and groom were seated for dinner, we arranged with Adrian’s mom a wonderful surprise from a family friend to sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” What a beautiful moment that was.

Thank you so much for allowing us to take part in your special day!

Also, again a special thanks to all of the wonderful wedding vendors:

If you are in the need for Invitations, Thank You cards, Place Cards/Table Cards, STD (save-the-dates), Programs, and the list goes on…please contact her directly or let me know. I would be happy to set something up. I just ordered some invitations for a personal event that I am putting together and could not be happier. A Note of Thanks!

I woke up to this very kind note of thanks this morning from one of my April brides.  What a way to start my day!!!!  Thank you so much Erin!

“We both wanted to thank you for such a wonderful job you did on the day
of our wedding.  It was wonderful to know that we did not have to worry
about a thing!  I know as well, that my parents were very pleased and
happy for your help and guidance during the entire day.

It was a wonderful relief to know that we did not have to think about a thing and got to truly enjoy the day.  Your help was invaluable and I am so glad
that you were able to help.  Many guests commented on how smoothly the day ran.  Compliments to you, obviously.  We were very thankful that
people were not standing around waiting as you kept the ball rolling.

If anything went awry that day, I had no idea so you did your job well!
Even our vendors for the day expressed appreciation for your work as you kept to schedule but did not pressure anyone to not finish their
specific jobs.  We really appreciate all that you did for us to make our
special day wonderful!
Thanks again.”
