Tara and Travis – an artful wedding

We had the pleasure of coordinating Tara and Travis’ beautiful outdoor ceremony at Lancaster County Winery with a lovely reception followed at The Cork Factory Hotel.

Travis is an amazing artist and put so many personal touches into their day. From the invitations to the flower girls “here comes the bride” sign, the ring box, every centerpiece detail and so much more, it was apparent a lot of love went into the making of this day!

At this event we had so much fun working with the very talented Jillian McGrath Photography! What a wonderful husband/wife team. Their energy was great, and the photos they produced were awesome! Take a look below at images they provided us to share! You can also see more over on their blog.

The ceremony and cocktail hour music was performed by the outstanding Christopher Bohn. Friends, he was amazing!! He played an acoustic guitar and the Ukelele! The bride came down the aisle to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Just loved it! Oh and at the reception for their first dance he sang, “When you say nothing at all.” You must check him out if you are looking for a ceremony and/or cocktail musician.

One of our favorite florists, Sandra Porterfield, was on board to do the beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres. The centerpieces consisted of a singe Gerber daisy in a wine bottle. Just lovely!

The Cork Factory Hotel did a wonderful job on the cake, a top the wood charger.

What an awesome couple! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day! Congratulations and best wishes!

A big thanks to some pretty awesome vendors on this wedding:

Family Photo Shoot with KM Photography

Hi All,

This past November we did a secret family shoot to gift pictures to my family for the holidays.  It was Doug and I, and the kiddos and my sister and her kids.  The entire point of the shoot was to get all of the grand kids in one shot.  Well let’s just say the kids had their own idea, and were not the most cooperative.

Kris and John from KM Photography met us in at Long’s Park in Lancaster!  They were awesome, and as always got some pretty remarkable shots!  Even one of my son, doing a daily nose pick…I know gross!  But it was so funny to see, it is my Riley to a T!

Take a sneak peak of my family shots!  Love love them!  And i must say the shot KM Photography got of the grandkids…my mother just loved!  They were all in their own element!  My Son was holding his youngest cousin, so proud, and both girls were off in their own world!    Classic :)

Thanks Kris and John you are the best!

My daughter turns 1

My daughter Molly turned one on October 26, 2011. Before her birthday I had decided that I was not going to do the big birthday gathering that my son had when he turned 1. I really wasn’t even going to decorate, but then I kept thinking…hmmm she may look back on this one day and think, why did i get shafted!!

Plus I have some wonderful friends in the industry who helped make it extra special. I decided to just invite immediate family and siblings over for pizza and cake!

Take a look at the images below! My little Molly, she sure is something special!

Also the first couple of images are from my lovely sister-in-law, Amanda Kirkham!

A very big thank you to Bella Manse for the ADORABLE, simply beautiful cake she made for my little Miss Molly and the perfectly pink and cream lovely linens from Special Occasions!!

Matthew and Sierra

Matthew and Sierra were married at beautiful Cameron Estates.  Sierra was breathtaking as she approached the ceremony accompanied by her father in a horse drawn carriage.  A very personal and romantic ceremony was performed by close family friend Pastor Travis Farmer.  After the ceremony, guests enjoyed music played by Maura Jensen during cocktail hour.  The reception was a fun filled lively event.  DJ Barry Hart kept the guests on their feet as the group danced the night away.  Guests enjoyed cupcakes from The Couture Cakery and even took some home for a late night treat.  As the evening came to a close, Sierra and Matthew had a sparkler send off by their guests.  It was such a pleasure working with Sierra and Matthew!  Congratulations as you begin a wonderful life together!

Stacy and Edwin at Cork Factory

Stacy and Edwin had a truly fantastic day!  First of all Stacy was an extremely organized bride which made my job even easier!  Her and Edwin and families were an absolute delight to work for.

The colors were stunning, simple, and made a beautiful impact.  Hot pink, black and white!  So chic and so fab!

Here are some fabulous recap shots from the uber talented KM Photography!  Just love them.

We also loved working with some of our favorites, All Things Beautiful, The House of Clarendon, Carmina Cristina, Cork Factory Hotel, LaVon Films, Shumaker PDT and Special Occasions and Occasions DJs.

Look how stunning lighting from Shumaker PDT an be!  We also loved just the single initial on the fireplace.

The beautiful bridal party! We love small intimate parties!Check out the gorgeous blooms from All Things Beautiful!!! They were so unique and so lovely!

Congratulations to Stacy and Edwin!  What a joy it was to coordinate your day!

Karen and Santosh at Moonstone Manor

What a beautiful celebration Karen and Santosh had at Moonstone Manor, formerly The Conewago Manor Inn.  Karen and Santosh were different for me because I did not get to meet them until a week before the wedding!!  I had worked with them the entire planning process over the phone, skype and meetings with the bride’s parents at their home in Landisville.  Karen and Santosh work in the Hotel Industry and were living in Singapore during the planning.

A lovely outdoor ceremony was planned, with a tented reception! This was one of those weddings where there was no rain in the forecast, but low and behold on my way to the event the sky was filled with the darkest clouds I had ever seen!  And of course upon arrival myself and my team had to wait underneath the tent until it stopped pouring for about 30 minutes before we could begin set up, and dry off the ceremony site!

Santosh and Karen’s event was simple yet elegant!  We loved working with Accomac Catering who provide wonderful scrumptious food.  Flowers by Paulette provided the gorgeous red flowers and classy white branch centerpieces.  Funky Fontana kept the crowd entertained and on their feet.  Not too mention Brooke Courtney was a dream to work with and they brought an awesome photo booth, The Smilebooth!  You can see images from that here. Some of our other favorites included, The Moonstone Manor, Cherrywood Strings Ensembles, Invitations by Chrissy and Expressions Limousine!

Take a look at these beautiful pictures, courtesy of Brooke Courtney Photography!

Congratulations to Santosh and Karen!  We wish you nothing but the best and thank you for letting Planned Perfection be a part of your day!
