Bryce and Kyle Hollinger

I could relive this wedding day and past year of planning over and over again with this wonderful couple and family!  Bryce and Kyle are the coolest, most down to earth, real people I’ve ever had the privilege to meet.

Each and every wedding has its own special moments, beauty that can only be created by that couple and their loved ones.  It can never be replicated, because every individual is so different.  There may be similar colors, or styles, but the emotions and personalities can never be duplicated.  Bryce and Kyle’s wedding will be one that is near and dear to my heart and remembered for a lifetime!

I experienced personal highs and lows and encountered some moments never experienced with any other event, challenging and rewarding all at the same time.  From this I have grown as a planner and value the opportunity I was given to execute and help plan and coordinate this beautiful event.   I got to work alongside some pretty amazing and talented vendors, whom now I call dear friends.

Through the many meetings – design, budget, guest list, just to name a few, I got to know this family pretty well, and enjoyed each and every minute we shared!  There were many tears, joy, and laughter throughout this particular planning process!

Let me tell you a little bit about the wedding details, without writing a book on this one.

A one of a kind wedding ceremony and reception was created in an open field in Mechanicsburg, close to the family’s home.  When I say created I mean many tents (6-8), sub-floors, carpet, side walls, tailors, trucks, a court yard, many a generators, a valet drop off area, a wooden aisle runner, custom ice bars, and the list goes on.

David Everett of Weddings by JDK was the superb Event Producer on this wedding whom I had the pleasure of working closely with on a daily basis!  He is one amazing guy who can dream a dream, and also make it come true!

Bryce and Kyle knew exactly what type of wedding they wanted – “Adams Family all dressed up!”  The outcome was just simply stunning, and not one guests once inside the tent could even imagine they were in the middle of  a field!  (I begged to differ during the week of set up when the field spiders where EVERYWHERE!  Luckily they were on their best behavior for the wedding  and not one came out to say hello during the event…they were probably all too scared with 300 plus guests!!)

The event was magical, beautiful, and the guests were having the time of their lives!  Bryce and Kyle were so happy and the smiles on their faces throughout the entire day were just priceless!

Thank you to Bryce and Kyle , Deb and Family,  for letting me be a part of your wedding day, and lives for the past year and a half!  It was so much fun and I can’t wait for our next time together!  (The viewing party?!?!)

For now, here are some AMAZING images from the very talented Thomas Beaman!  It is so awesome to be able to relive the day, over and over again through the eyes of your camera!

The guys and of course Lewis!

An all white bo-k for all the girls was perfect against the black dresses.  Joann from Weddings by JDK incorporated different flowers for each girl, lovely!

Brandy and Jonathon – Lancaster Quilt and Textile Museum

Working with Brandy and Jonathon was such a treat!  It was actually a little high school reunion as I went to school with her, the photographer she had selected, George Weiss and the florist, Stacia from Petals with Style.

Brandy was so sweet and so laid back!  They decided to have their beautiful ceremony in the grand banking hall at the museum and then it was flipped during cocktail hour for the reception!

Everything went very smoothly and the guests were having a great time!

Check out these beautiful beautiful images from George Weiss III!  He has such a unique style of capturing, and is so very intriguing.  George says he still shoots with film which is pretty amazing!  I just love these images!!!  I can’t wait to work with him in the future!

A look back at this gem!

Well looking back I can’t believe I never blogged this wedding…really!?!?!  Christin and Jordan were an amazing Bride and Groom to work with.  Their wedding was featured on SMP, and no detail was left behind.  Christin had a very direct vision in mind, and this my friends, is a dream bride.  She knew exactly what she wanted down to the gold rimed china and gold salt and pepper shakers!

091011_Blog-2

The ceremony was held downtown Lancaster with a reception following at a family member’s residence.  Christin decided to bring in BEAUTIFUL linens from La TaVola linens from CA…and we just wanted to wrap ourselves in them as we were putting them on the tables…sooo gorg!!

The amazing flowers were artfully created by the very talented Kelly Steadman and crew from All Things Beautiful.  The highlight was the florists in the pool (completely in) affixing the floating flower boxes!

Olde Greenfield Inn provided the delicious dinner in a beautiful atmosphere provided by Shumaker PDT.    Check out the phenomenal pictures from Tennison Photography!

Some other team members that made this event so memorable and such a success were:  Designs by Renee (all the beautiful stationary!  Just check out that escort card frame!), DJ Freez, House of Clarendon for the beautiful cake, and Walters Luxury Restrooms!)

You never would have guessed that flood and hurricane weather almost pushed us to looking to a plan C!!!  What a wedding week mother nature was throwing at us :)  This one for sure, will remain a highlight for years to come!

30TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

Well I turned the BIG 3-0 this past summer and I went back and forth whether i wanted to throw a big shindig at a venue or at my house (back yard bbq style).  Of course I weighed all the pros/cons and in the end I realized I wouldn’t have as much fun if I held it at my house.  I would have to set up, host, clean-up, etc.

So around the time I started looking for venues, is also around the time I got the word from Cork Factory that they were getting ready to open a new venue space, that wasn’t quite finished yet.  When I went to tour the space, I fell in love!  The Wharehouse at Cork Factory Hotel was the winning venue, it was perfect!  I couldn’t wait for the party!

I just wanted to keep everything very simple, a summer gtg with some good food, beverages,  atmosphere, and most important family and friends!

With the help of my friends, it was a success!

I have to thank those near and dear to me who helped make it FABULOUS!

Jill Fanning and Team at Cork Factory Hotel (You are so amazing, and such a great friend! Thank you Thank you!!!)

The Warehouse team took care of the linens, tables, chairs, amazing food and beverages, cake and of course just the super stellar service that every client receives when going to this facility.

The food was so delicious!  We had Mini Cork Burgers, Watermelon/Feta Bites,  Sweet Potato Fries in shooter cups with a mustard sauce, Bruschetta, my FAVORITE mac and cheese bar, with all the fixings and a yummy Cesar salad!

When it was time to toast to the birthday girl we had champagne served to everyone with passed tray’s of silver crushed cakepops!  Oh how perfect!

We also decided to have a signature beverage, in addition to beer and wine.  Peach bellini’s, my favorite

Freez Entertainment (DJAndyM rocked the party with his fabulous beats!  Freez Entertainment also provided the photo booth for the event!  I can’t even begin to explain how much fun a photo booth is.  Even more fun, looking at all the images of your friends and family the next day on the disc that is provided with the services.  Freez Entertainment also provided some soft uplighting around the room.  It really made a difference and created an intimate atmosphere.

Shumaker PDT – provide my most favorite dance floor pattern, and a special 30 monogram for the wall!  It really made the room come together and was just what the space needed.

Petals with Style – Stacia did a beautiful job with the flowers.  I basically just told her my colors, and what color vases i had/would like and from there she took it and ran with it!  Lovely, lovely and just oh so perfect!

Take a look at these great photos from Jeremy Hess Photographers!  Jeremy was there capturing some shots for the new space, and we are so happy to have them to reflect back on!

Hillary and Nic

Wow, this wedding was just absolutely stunning! There are no words for the beauty of this day and the people that made it happen!

I’ve had a lot of close calls to make in the land of wedding world, but this one for sure, will go down in the books! We set out to have an outdoor ceremony, but with the weather forecast calling for rain right as the ceremony was to start, we had to go with Plan B.  It was so close, we just didn’t know if it would miss us, or downpour directly over the site.  I’m so glad we went with Plan B, and Hillary and Nic were so easy going and more than ok with that decision!

Hillary and Nic are two of the most down to earth, friendly, caring people I have had the pleasure to work with.  Take a look at some of these gorgeous images from Sweetwater Portraits by Julie Melton.  They were so fantastic to work with!

Beautiful ladies!  It was such a pleasure to reconnect with one of our past brides Christin!!!  And don’t you just loves these beautiful bouquets by Wildflowers by Design!

Designs by Renee created all the beautiful stationary!

Oh Yummm…..The Couture Cakery, did not disappoint  Their beautiful cupcakes and dessert display was so perfectly designed for this wedding!

So precious!!!  Almost too pretty to eat…almost.

Lime Spring Farms looks so beautiful at night!  The perfect ending to a perfect day!!

Congratulations and Best Wishes to Hillary and Nic!  May you have many years of happiness, love and laughter!

Maria and Marcelino

What a truly beautiful wonderful couple!  It was such an honor to be a part of their planning process and help guide them along the way.  They certainly had their share of “wedding hassles!”  First and foremost Maria’s dress shop closed unexpectedly and then she found out her original venue wouldn’t allow her enough time to have all the beautiful design work that she wanted for her event.  So we worked through everything that came up, and I believe it truly all worked out for the best.

Our venue change led us to Reading Artworks and what a beautiful space that is.  It has so much potential to really make it whatever your hearts desire.   Maria and Marcelino wanted a contemporary, modern, and elegant reception space.  They were getting married a few days before their reception with their close family and friends in Puerto Rico and then hosting the fun reception celebration upon return.

In the beginning Maria told me the design/decor was her number 1 priority. I knew exactly where to bring her!   Shumaker PDT did an exceptional job of bringing the vision to life!!  We started the cocktail hour with beautiful purples and golds, had a video playing of their ceremony, a delicious apple martini luge, and a fun contemporary lounge.

My favorite part was showing the couple the dinner space for the first time.  It was exactly what they wanted and their reactions were priceless!   Shumaker nailed the vision and blew the clients away!

We also brought in some of our favorite vendors to this space.  Petals with Style took care of all of our centerpieces incorporating the lounge look with lampshades on the guest tables as well as a mixture of martini glasses with led lights.  We picked out just the perfect linens from Special Occasions incorporating silvers, blacks and sequins!  Designs by Renee took care of all of our stationary elements, i.e., table numbers, escort cards, menu cards, candy tags and bar signs, they were beautiful.

The reception dance floor was packed all night long thanks to Matt from Occasions Disc Jockey!  He did a fabulous job with Maria and Marcelino’s music requests and keeping all the guests entertained.

Take a look at these beautiful photos by Double H Photography!  Working with Howie was such a joy, and he really captured some great moments!!

We loved orchestrating this first look! The groom was very excited!

Congratulations to Marcelino and Maria!  You two are amazing people that I was so privileged to meet and get to know through this wonderful planning process.  I wish you nothing but the best and many many years of happiness!!
